Disassembly There is very little doubt as to the application this piston was designed for and also which engine bank it fit into. The oil passage that is located at the point where the oil filter is mounted to the block is enlarged, blended, and chamfered with a high-speed grinder to assist the flow of oil. Assembly Before installing the timing chain cover and water pump, take note that this lower bolt hole extends into the water jacket. A water leak may result if sealant is not applied to this bolt when installed. Installation, Start-Up and Break-In Think safety first and foremost when lifting the engine back into the car.
