Let the ends dangle into the water. Leave them for ten minutes; then remove and place them between white paper towels. Press with your fingers or an iron. Open the towels and check for color stainsAlways make a small trial piece to test the threads, stitches, and fabric itself.Cut more fabric than you will need. The rule of thumb is 2 extra all around.Avoid knots on the back of your finished work, because they create bumps that show up as shiny spots when pressed.
